You can go back to check you work until the end of the test.
Listening
There are two parts to the test. Each part is heard twice. There is a pause for you to read the questions at the start of each part. There is a pause for you to check your work at the end of part two. When you hear THIS IS THE END OF THE LISTENING TEST you can then move on to the next part.
Writing
Click in the blank page on the right side of the screen and type your answer. You can delete and retype any part of your answer.
There is a word count at the bottom of the screen.
The writing task in the practice test is for practice purposes and does not provide a score for the writing section
Clicking on Exit ends the test.

Lorenzo the Policeman
Lorenzo lives in a small town but he works in a big city. He works five days a week. Sometimes he goes to work in the morning and sometimes he goes to work in the evening. Lorenzo drives a police car and he drives very fast when he wants to catch a thief or a bad person. When he catches a thief he does not take the thief to his house. He takes him to the police station.
His sister says that when Lorenzo sees a thief or a bad person he is never afraid and he always runs after them and catches them. Lorenzo is only afraid of dogs. His sister thinks this is very funny.
When Lorenzo is not at work he likes to run and play football.
Lorenzo likes his work but he says the life of a policeman is not easy

Abi and Manos tell us about their favourite season and they want to know about your favourite season.

The season I like best is spring In spring it rains a lot and people wear rain coats and boots but I like the rain. The days are longer and we can play outside. Of course the farmers have a lot of work and they plant things in the gardens. I love to see all the flowers everywhere and green leaves on the trees. We also know that summer is coming and schools will close for the summer holiday. This makes me happy. |

The season I like best is winter. In my country the summer is very hot and you cannot play outside in the day. The schools are closed so I don’t have any friends to play with in the summer. In winter the weather is not cold here but it is not so hot. We can stay outside for hours and play different games. My cousin lives in Austria. He says the winter there is very cold with a lot of snow. I have never seen snow in my country. |
